I am a sojourn on earth.
Direct translation: Stranger.
Alien.
I am done with the modern day “norm” of being a Christ follower.
I am no longer mine but HIS.
Ruth is gone.
Call me a freak of you choose. I’ll take it.
I have been transformed.
It is a daily battle but He has won the war.
I have accepted that everyone breathing right now will be dead in the next 100 years.
We are so temporary.
We feel entitled to our independence which will ultimately result in an eternity of longing for our only Dependency.
We get caught up in our Facebook status and how our profile pictures depict us when our hearts are dying for our true Identity.
The One who spoke us into being.
We get caught up in routine.
Waiting.
For what? Graduation? Dream jobs? Marriage? Children? Retirement?
Our bodies are our idols.
We thrive off what makes us feel good.
Temporary.
Even if we get pumped for the Kingdom satan tells us we are too small to make a difference.
Our passion is immediately quenched.
I tend to get excited about the Spirit in my own life but I don’t praise Him for moving in others.
Selfishness.
The Church gets caught up in numbers and buildings but the Holy Spirit is missing.
Realness is missing.
Authenticity has vanished.
If it was ever there.
What happened to running to the Church when we are hurting and desperate?
There are now masks that we slide on when upon arriving to the building we gather in.
Not just in America but all around the world.
My mask is coming off.
It is absolutely painful.
Pride smashed.
Hard to connect the two lives after so long of being in hiding.
It’s a broad statement but we all live a double life to a point.
Whether drastic or subtle.
The Lord calls us to be authentic.
Real.
Weep when our brothers weep. Laugh as they laugh. Rejoice when they rejoice.
We are all merely a breath.
A vapor.
We are like grass
Tossed away in the wind.
We do not have time to hide from our true selves nor others.
There is a lack of urgency in our hearts.
But good news, the Lord is doing work.
It is my prayer that you too will realize that we are merely strangers to this world.
Sojourners.
Strangers.
He is timeless.
Why wouldn’t we desire to know Him deeper? without being discouraged by the standard of others?
Don’t wait.
Talk to me if you need me.
I have been there. For far too long.
Love you all.
He loves you more. He loves you… because He loves you.. because He loves you.
