I am in Quito, Ecuador!!
Today was a day of “making it just in time” and “hurry up and wait.” I think I used all modes of transportation today! My legs, grandma’s car, a shuttle bus, a train, another shuttle bus, a plane and a sweet Greyhound-esk bus. Right now, 22 of the 58 in our squad are in Ecuador. We are financial leaders, logistics guys and team leaders. The remaining will meet us here tomorrow night. Me and another girl in my squad BARELY made our flight today. Kelly and I somehow got switched with two other girls, Kim and Kursti so that they scheduled me and Kelly on the flight tomorrow instead of today. After 2 hours, $300, and lots of hassle we made it to our 6:50 flight by 6:30. It was awesome. ![]()

Ever feel like you are living someone else's story?I do. Yesterday and today God confirmed this belief as I got a couple of precious hours of alone time on the Deerfield Beach on Monday. As I was watching the sunrise over the ocean, God reminded me of Job and what He said to him “out of the storm.” Essentially He told Job that the story is not about him but about God himself. I think He sent me out with the same words: “Daughter, don’t forget that this whole thing is about Me. But also remember that I want you to be a part of it. Are you ready?” Heck yes!!
I took this picture from the plane as we were leaving Miami and America. Again I felt God saying, “Oh and I am behind you too. I go before you (sunrise) and behind you (sunset) and all around you.” I’ll take it!More on what the next few days will look like to come! We will actually start ministry on July 18. Stay tuned….
