Here in just a few hours I’ll be in the air on my way back to Manila, and let me tell ya, these past two weeks have been so incredible. Not only have I learned tons about God’s Word, but I’ve seen His love everyday in the students and staff of this great ministry. So this blog is dedicated to the wonderful people that took me in and allowed me to be a part of their lives. My heart will always be here and ALL OF YOU will be in my prayers!!!
The Smith Family (Hulet, Zoe, Peggy, Ging, Tommy and Caleb) Thank you so much Bishop Tommy for your wisdom, honesty and realness. Tommy’s such a good guy folks, he let me constantly hang out at his house while his folks were in town. Speaking of which, Bishop Hulet, I loved hearing about your life as a pastor. This man of God has been married 38 years and he’s been preaching for 42. What committment my friends! That’s the kind of integrity and character I’ve been asking God to bestow upon me. Again, thank you so much. I appreciate each and every one of ya’ll.
Then of course to my SBI Bible guys and gals – I love you guys. Thank you for teaching me about truly trusting the Lord. All of you have such a passion for the Lord and I pray God touches my heart in the same way. Each and every one of you were an answer to a prayer. Ya’ll showed me God’s love – how cool is that?!
There are so many others that made a huge impression on my life. Jane, thank you for being such a good friend to me and teaching me Cebuano (the native language) Pastor Jun thanks for the coffee each morning. Pastor Kelli you are an AMAZING teacher. I think you inspired every one of my blogs:) Also I appreciate the wonderful ladies that cooked me great food each morning. And Edgar, you can throw a dang good spiral my friend. I’m leaving out so many and I apologize, but just know leaving here was not easy and I’m honored we’re all in the family of Christ.
