There is plenty of things I am not good at… as far as being a Christian!
Surprising?
I hope not because there is always something we can pursue to please the Lord.
There is always something that we can surrender to God and allow him to transform our minds and behavior.
My struggle has been…
The desire to pray. Aghh… I know I sound like such a Lamo!
Yeah, I prayed time to time, when I purposely appointed a time and place…
The thing is I get Bored and Sidetracked (like a 100 times)…
I don't want my prayer to just be another prayer to add to the list of things I do to honor God…
I felt like prayer was a checklist rather than personal decision to spend time with my Father!
I wanted it to REFRESHING, NEW and PERSONAL!
Good News!!!
Recently, I have been having the desire to pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ.
They don't have to ask for it but I just begin to pray for them.
I don't use fancy words, however I do like to speak scripture into my prayers.
Scripture is God's spoken truth and promises for His people.
I'm not going to lie…
I was one of those people that said, "Yeah, I'll be praying for you" but it would slip my mind.
I just figure now… why not lift that person up in prayer on the spot.
It's always encouraging to hear the words of people's prayers.
I have learned the following things over a period of time

Pray Specifically
- Give details
-
Speak the Word of God into your prayers
- ​The word of God is Truth. Believe in those things and remind God of His promises

Use your Own Words
- ​Kings James Version does not bring you closer to God
- Saying the Lord's name over and over again does not bring you closer to God
- Being real with God, pleases his heart!

Be Honest and Open about everything (struggles, desires, emotions, etc)
- If you want to scream… SCREAM
- If you want to cry… CRY

One of God's titles is Creator
- So why can't he make every encounter you have with him be in a whole new and creative way to experience him

Wait and Listen to hear God speak back
- It's not just about me but us. I am in a relationship with him.
- By knowing the Word of God, we can be sure it's his voice, when it lines up with the bible.
I hope this blog, encourages many people to be real in prayer and sincere.

This is my prayer for you…
Jesus, you said, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined". Your word says, "to encourage one another daily" and to "confess our sins to each other and pray for each other so that we may be healed". I ask that every person who comes upon this blog may be encouraged and challenged. Lord, bring healing to every person in whatever struggles they may being going through at the very moment they read this blog. Bring someone into their lives to come along side them to encourage them, pray for them and keep them accountable. Unite your children together so that your glory fills the earth. In your holy and precious name, Jesus! Amen!
