When I was considering doing the World Race, I started praying about what my hashtag should be. #stress
LAMMMEEE. Social media is powerful, y’all. Throughout the election, it was clear that social media can be used in very negative ways. I always see the glass half full and I feel that social media can do so much more GOOD than bad. I mean how crazy that we can post asking for prayer and have 143 prayer warriors on our side in an hour?? We can share the good things God is doing in our lives. We can inspire others. We can save people with kind words when they are on the edge of ending their lives. #inspire
I want to share my World Race journey with as many people as possible through social media. I want to share it because it is NOT my World Race journey; it is God’s. Roxanne Bailey did not set out to be a missionary. God called me and God equipped me. Roxanne Bailey can barely raise a rescue dog (I have kept Atticus alive three months now, friends.) With Him and for Him, I can complete this journey. I can share what God is doing in my life with people in 11 countries and people at home. #11n11
This week has been amazing. I have started selling bracelets to people in my college town and I have been able to share my testimony so many times. I even got to talk to a former World Racer for over an hour and wow, God. If I had any doubts of what I am supposed to be doing, they are gone. I never knew how much joy could be found in FUNdrasing. I have struck up conversations with random strangers and ended up selling them bracelets. How crazy to be able to make connections with so many people. How wonderful to add prayer warriors to my team? #lookatGod
So yeah, why #roxtheworld?I have always loved the quote, “In a gentle way, you can shake the world.” Well friends, I am going to ROX the world with kindness. I am going to ROX the world with joy. I am going to ROX the world for Jesus Christ; my Abba Father.
My favorite hymn growing up has such special meaning now:
