Three weeks ago, I attended a prayer meeting where the speaker talked about what it means to be at home. How it’s not about the geographic location, but the feelings you get of warmth, love, peace, comfort. That comfort that God provides, sending the Spirit to others in order to hug you, pray alongside you, lift you up, energize you. Home has definitely been prevalent this past week through facebook messages, emails, texts, prayer, hugs and tears. To understand that my home isn’t here, but in the hearts of loved ones, has been soothing and thrilling. I love Southern California, but have never liked my city; I never thought a journey around the world would be my next move. Mind you, I’m not going on this trip to find a geographical location to call home, but to follow where Christ has been trying to lead me. I take comfort that though I’ll be leaving behind friends and family, I’ll be journeying ahead with part of my home: V Squad.
