Cameron, Jenny, Me, Nick, Taryn, and Miles- in Swaziland

Currently Team Koinonia is debriefing in Durban, South Africa. We will be heading to Gordons Bay, South Africa for the month of August. This will be our second ATL (ask the Lord) month.

As we head into month 8 one thing God has taught me is that this will never feel like home. No not South Africa or even the continent of Africa but this earth. We pack up and leave about every 30 days and Saturday will be another 26 hour bus ride to Gordons Bay. And then August 27th we will reunite with all of H-Squad and head to Romania!

I don’t think I thought I would ever say this but I am so glad that we are constantly being forced into discomfort. And this is not necessarily living conditions (although it’s not 5 star for sure) that I’m talking about.

I feel that with the constant moving I am faced to constantly be pressing in more and more with my Father in Heaven. Nothing is ever for sure, nothing is ever the same in any country, and the ministry is constant. Peter says that we are temporary residents and foreigners to this world.

“Unless we are in constant transition, we will stop somewhere along the way and settle down. The Christian life is a frontier. God did not call us to be settlers but to be pilgrims and pioneers.” Jim Goll
