Tomorrow we take a four hour bus ride
to Santo Domingo and then on Monday we take a ten hour bus ride to
Port-au-Prince where we will spend the night. On Tuesday we will make
our way to our ministry site in Govaines. Our ministry for the month
will consist mostly of hurricane disaster relief so, a lot of
construction and manual labor. We will also be doing some evangelism
in the area. The desire of the ministry we’re working with is to
rebuild the area not only physically but spiritually as well.

During our stay we will be tent
camping and they told us to plan for the worst for everything else.
Possibly boiling our own drinking water, digging our bathroom in the
woods and I’m not sure what else that entails. I don’t think we will
have internet so, this will be it for a while.

I do have some prayer requests I
would like to share.

  • Safety for the team as Haiti (I’ve
heard) is not the place to be for Americans right now.

  • We all caught a little something
in the D.R. Please pray for our health in Haiti. Doing clean-up
could mean working around some unsanitary things. The food also
    plays an interesting role.

  • There’s a lot of spiritual warfare
going on in this area. Please pray God’s protection over us
    spiritually.

  • That this time would be fruitful
in reaching people and sharing the love of Jesus.

Thank you so much for everyone who has been praying. I know that your prayers got  me through the D. R. I’ll write as soon as I can.
