Talitha Koum aka: little girl arise
This is the family I needed to part ways from shortly after birth. Heather, Melanie, Erica, Leanna, Caitlyn, myself, and our fearless leader Kenra are the young women of "Talitha Koum" which translates to "Little girl arise" in English. They are my friends, my confidants, and my sisters whom I love! Although I can't be with them in person right now, I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that I will see them all again! The Lord still has great and mighty plans for each of our lives, it's just that my path apparently needs to break off from the pack for right now. That doesn't mean that I consider them any less like family or my prayers for them are now few and far between! I hope they know how much they've each touched my life over the last few months and that my journey wouldn't have been the same without them there!
Erica: out of everyone, particularly in this group of girls, Erica and I have prob. stretched each other the most! (to say the least) she's been my teammate since day one, and for better or worse, has always been there for me when it's counted the most. it's been a crazy few months so far, but I can already see so much growth in her! I can't wait to see what the future holds…
Heather: is such an amazing person… probably far more than she even realizes! She's strong, wise, and beautiful from the inside out! She's the type of girl who'll always be there fighting for those she loves, praying for those she loves, encouraging those she loves, challenging those she loves, and having fun with those she loves! She has a huge heart and an important purpose in this world… and I can't wait to see where this crazy journey of life takes her in the future.
Melanie: has been an incredible friend to me over the last few months and until the birth of Talitha Koum, we were never actually told we'd be working together. She's an amazing girl with a fun spirit and heart of gold! I can't wait to see where the Lord takes her in the future!
Leanna: is so full of joy, love, and laughter! her childlike happiness is contagious to all those around her and she has such a sweet spirit. she's super encouraging to those around her and always willing to lend a helping hand. I can't wait to see her story unfold and hopefully get to know her better in the days/months to come!
Caitlyn: is far more amazing than she gives herself credit for! she's talented, caring, and not afraid to speak her mind! she's beautiful from the inside out and I can't wait to see her realize that more and more with every passing day! she's a daughter of the most high king and He loves her more than she'll ever know! I pray that she'll be able to walk in confidence of the promises He's made to her and truly believe she is worthy to be called His princess!
Kenra: our fearless leader – is by far one of the sweetest people I've ever met in my life! she's so full of life, love, and joy and challenges others to receive/project those things in their lives as well… she will make an incredible leader on our squad because she already leads other through example by the way she naturally lives her life. I know she still has an amazing journey ahead of her and I can't wait to see what enfolds in her life!
