I can't believe it's already been almost a week since I got home from training camp! While a lot of my squadmates have had to jump right back into their busy lives full of work schedules and appointments, I've had the exact opposite reality. Since I'm still out of work and don't have too many time constraints right now, I've had a lot of time to reflect and process all that went on at camp. I feel sooo fortunate in that b/c even with all this time, there's still been so much on my mind.
I'm pretty sure these next 11 weeks are going to go by so fast… and before we know it, the B-Squad will be on a plane bound for Guatemala. I'm so stoked! It honestly still doesn't even seem real. I've been through so much these last few months, but things are finally coming together and I can def see the Lord's hand at work. I know He'll be with me every step of the way and that I'll never be in this alone! There's soo many ppl going thru the exact types of things I'm either going thru now or have gone thru since finding out about the world race: the same joy, similar struggles, and the same burning passion to do something more in life! Words can't truly express and minds can't fully comprehend how close our squad became in just a matter of days. They almost instantly became a big, crazy, Jesus-loving, gospel-spreading, truth-telling, fun-loving FAMILY to me and I'm honored to be a part of all the shenanigans that is to come with them!
Within the next couple of days, I know I need to get back into the swing of things in regards to fundraising and such… but my hope and prayer is that things go better than they have in the past with that. My hope is that I don't quickly fall back into the stressed out, worry-filled, anxious mess that I once was. I know God has it all under control even when I'm unsure of how things will turn out. I'm just trying to rest in that fact and do whatever I can to move things along.
