Expect the unexpected…
Expect to be broken, changed, and built back up into a better form of myself
Expect to feel unexplainable joy
Expect to witness unimaginable sorrow
Expect to build and maintain new, lifelong friendships
Expect to form bonds that only crazy experiences together can create
Expect to gain even more patience while living in close quarters 24/7
Expect to gain more insight and perspectives on Christianity & life in general
Expect to have many, MANY unanticipated adventures, interesting experiences, and fun stories
Expect to be pushed, pulled, and stretched far outside my comfort zones
Expect the Lord to show up more than ever before and use me, my teammates, and all of those we come into contact with in each other's lives in more ways than I could ever begin to imagine right now
Expect the Lord to provide, protect, and comfort in ALL situations, good or bad
Expect days that feel they'll never end, nights that go by too quick, and "goodbyes" that come too soon
Expect the unknown, unplanned, unexplainable situations that always work out for the best
Expect to be challenged and changed from the inside out
But mostly, I just expect the Lord to complete His plan for my life and the lives of all those around me regardless of how willing or not willing we are to participate. Sometimes, there's hard lessons that we all need to learn in order for our eyes to be opened and our hearts to be transformed. These last few months have only been the beginning of some of those transitions and the start of the next (hopefully wonderful) chapter of my life! It's only up from here!
*Next wknd is a pretty important and busy wknd for me: training camp / meeting my awesome squad mates, the 2yr anniv. of my car wreck, the anticipated arrival of a childhood friend's first-born, and Independence Day (which is not only a day of remembrance, giving thanks, and fireworks… but also one of my fave days of the year) All of that is scheduled to occur within 3 days (however, I'm hoping for baby Annabelle to arrive before I leave for TN!) Exciting!*
