I just saw the following quote on my teammate Andrew's fb status, and I like it so wanted to share. "God gave us keys to the kingdom… not keys to the church!" – Dr.Larry Titu

Churches aren't about specific buildings and Christianity isn't living in a safety bubble with a select # of ppl in a certain place. I believe Christianity is much more about loving, serving, and helping ppl w/out expecting to get something in return… regardless of who/where they are. Life isn't merely about what we do/don't do but moreso about the reasons behind what we do/don't do. "He died for me, so I will live for Him alone!" Christianity is about spreading the love, hope, and renewed life we have thru Jesus… til the whole world hears (fyi: the World Race is all about spreading the kingdom)

God knows each of our hearts, all of our thoughts/feelings, any alterior motives or negativity or doubts we have, the good, the bad, and everything in between. He knows are past, present, and futures… there's nothing we can hide from Him. He created the universe and everything in it, including each of us, so He knows us even better than we know ourselves. He loves us, forgives us, and believes in us even though we can't always love, forgive, or believe in ourselves. He pushes us, stretches us, and molds us in a variety of ways… which aren't always easy lessons to learn, but it's so we will further grow closer to Him. But, He carries us thru situations in which our legs forget how to walk, too. He also places various types of ppl & situations in our lives for a reason. "He doesn't always give us the ppl we want but He gives us the ppl we need: to help us, to hurt us, and to make our life what we never dreamed it could be." -Anon- Sometimes, we have to fall in order to recall that God is ultimately the ONLY solid foundation that holds us up. If we try to build our foundation on anything else (cars, money, family, friends, good job, accumulating as much unnecessary stuff as possible, or simply ourselves & doing things thru our own strength) we WILL fail… miserably… every time… even if it doesn't happen right away, it will happen b/c nothing apart from our Lord will sustain us… not even ourselves! I'm a "doer" whose independent and sometimes a bit stubborn, but there's SO MUCH that I can't do on my own. This journey, w/e happens, is just one of MANY examples of that.

God is in control and wherever He leads, I shall follow…
