Hey everyone, I hope this blog finds you well and that u had a great Easter! I wanted to share a couple of videos I found on youtube that directly show what it means to be a Christian, what Easter is REALLY about, and Christ's ultimate sacrifice to save us from ourselves…

Before the videos however, I also wanted to make a quick fundraising update. I still have a very long way to go, but it seems like some things are finally starting to fall into place more. Some money seems to slowly be trickling as the days go by, I have some fundraisers already set for the next couple weeks, and a few other ventures finally seem to be falling into place. PTL! I also want to make a prayer request on behalf of not only my squad and myself regarding funds, but also on behalf of my entire small town right now. You see, last Sunday night, when two 13yr. old girls were walking home (right up the road from my house) a drunk driver struck and  killed one of them. Her name is Emilie, she only turned 13 about a month ago, and she was taken away just like that… which is further proof that u really don't know when ur time is up. I know first-hand what it's like to have ur world turned upside down in an instant w/out warning and w/out being able to stop it. My heart goes out to her family and friends, particularly to her best friend Amy who was right by her side when it happened. She now has to live w/ all kinds of thoughts & feelings that should never have to cross someone's mind. On top of that, there's certain individuals in their school trash-talking the deceased and saying all kinds of horrible things, so much so that there's going to be security at the funeral tmr. It's just a really sad situation all-around and I know they'd appreciate all the prayers they can get. I saw in the fb group dedicated to her, where one of the girls in her school wrote this to offer her condolences that she had a friend tell her after she too lost someone special: "Don't put a question mark where God puts a period!" It's as simply put and difficult to do as that… Even in hard situations and times of sorrow, try not to question God. Afterall, He's the creator of the universe, I'm pretty sure He knows what He's doing…

Another prayer request is for one of the guys I worked for during college and his family. I don't really have any details at this point, I just know that his young daughter had to have surgery earlier today and that she should be alright. She's apparently joined the "bionic club" and now has 2 large metal rods in her back. I'm not sure how long she'll need to be in the hospital or it'll take to fully recover, but please keep her and their family in ur prayers. I don't know what it's like to be in her parents' position, but I unfortunately know all too well what it's like to to be in a situation that puts parents in a similar fearful, anxious, hopeful position. They're an amazing bunch of people and my heart always goes out to anyway in a similar position.
