John L. and me! LOVE this little boy. He even got me to hold a Junebug on our last day there.

So many people have pinched her uber-cute cheeks that she now HATES having them touched.

Pure joy on the swingset!

At one of the “feedings”, where we performed skits and passed out food. If you look closely, you can see my pink hair! (What I also learned: I make a bad Goliath!)

Oh, Hannah. I will wear the bracelet she made for me until it falls off.

Read about this little guy on Dan‘s blog!

Forget Folger’s- his hugs were the best part of waking up in the morning!

Taking pictures is always fun!

Marissa with Caleb, a fave among a few of us. You can also read about him on her blog here. Please pray for his healing. As of now, when he turns 2 he’ll be diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

And don’t forget about eating duck fetus (belut- it’s a delicacy. I heard it described as “like a hard-boiled egg, but with meat, and better.” Don’t believe that. It tasted like a juicy hard-boiled egg that had a few feathers and a HEAD.), durian fruit, the waterfall, kids’ camp, Mel’s “Up” movie and related activities and the pool, which was one of my top five favorite days on the Race. Five hours at a compound with several pools (one big one and a few smaller, more shallow ones) plus a slide PLUS a great lunch? Awesome! The kids had a blast and so did we. And John L. from the first picture? I got to start teaching him how to swim! And if you haven’t read my teammate Jodi’s blogs about how she fell in love with the boys in the jail, or Marissa’s blogs about how she was able to help out Kikim, then you need to take 10 minutes to do so.
