So We’ve been in a village in the district of Warangol for the past week. If you’ve been watching my picture updates you’ve noticed that I’ve got a lot of pictures with some random people. Some are people whom I’ve had some meaningful contact with others are random people that I have encountered in the street. I never wanted to be the type of person who takes random pictures with people for the sake of taking pictures but in India its hard not to. Just by being American here its like the team and I have become overnight celebrities. Everywhere we go we attract attention a crowd begins to form people ask us where we are from and what our names are. In Ongole we went to a local fair and some child payed me to take a picture with him on my camera and then after that at least 15 other people came to me to shake my hand or ask for picture with me it was as if they thought I was George Clooney or something.
For some reason an American doing laundry, drew a crowd

Even in the villages as we walked around people would come and stare and everyone where was obsessed with taking pictures though they did not have much many people had a digital camera. It was hard to adjust to having an entourage of people taking photos as we talked, prayed, preached, ate, etc. At times is was even exhausting, definitely times I wished I could go back to the days of walking around and no one caring who I am or why I’m walking around. Definitely had to pray that God would renew me and help me get past the need for solitude and continue to love on the villages. This really made me rethink any hopes of becoming famous or even political aspirations it would be bad if every country was like this. George if you’re reading this I now understand your pain.
