Hey everyone! So….as you might have guessed from the title of this blog, there’s been a change of plans. As of today, I made the official decision that I will not be going to the Philippines in September.
Basically, the decision came down to my student loans. You might have heard me talk about these pesky things before. I still have about $21,000 in student loans, and in the past couple weeks, I became more aware of the need to pay off my debt. After spending some time praying, talking to people, and seeing what the Bible has to say about debt, I decided that paying off debt is a Biblical and honorable choice to make and also that I will be a lot more free to do what God wants me to do and I want to do if I no longer am in debt. With that being said, I decided to put the Philippines and mission work on hold for now and more diligently work towards paying off my debt.
So what does that mean for the next season? I am not completely sure at the moment. I know I’ll get some type of job to start saving up money; I’m looking at my options, but I am not sure what the next season holds for me right now.
I want to thank everyone for their support, both prayerfully and financially, in my process of pursuing going to the Philippines as well as all of the mission work I have been blessed to do in the past few years. I really do appreciate it!
I’ll still be keeping this blog and hopefully updating it every once in awhile, and I’ll be sure to update on here as I make decisions on the next season of my life. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email me at [email protected].
