Have you ever had a song seem like it is on repeat in your life? Everywhere you go, you hear it? Lately, for me, that song has been “You’re Beautiful” by Phil Wickham.
Where planets are in motions and galaxies are bright
We are amazed in the light of the stars
It’s all proclaiming who you are
You’re beautiful. You’re beautiful
I heard it as my roommate played it at the house. I heard it at church. I heard it at worship at the office. I heard it when my roommate again played it at the house. I heard it. I heard it. I heard it. After the fifth or so time, I was tempted to be annoyed by it. I was tired of hearing it. But then I stopped to think.
My God is not a God of coincidence. He’s not a God of mistakes. He’s not a God of randomness. So if I keep hearing this song, maybe He’s trying to tell me something through it.
And here’s what I think it was. I don’t pay attention enough to the beauty of God. Often, I’m so busy living life that I just don’t stop to appreciate how awesome He is. He’s beautiful because of His creation. He’s beautiful because He died for me. He’s beautiful because He defeated death and sin. He’s beautiful because He loves me. He’s beautiful. He’s beautiful.

Do you appreciate God’s beauty in your life?
