For the LORD is good; His steadfast love endures forever and His faithfulness to all generations.
Psalm 100:5
God is faithful.  So faithful.  And His steadfast love really does endure forever.  Forever!  Have you ever thought about how long that is?  Forever is a long time.  For me, forever is at least 25 years.
A few days ago, I was listening to my IPod, and Matt Redman’s “Never Once” came on.  In the chorus, Redman declares,
Never once did we ever walk alone; never once did you leave us on our own.  You are faithful; God, you are faithful!
As I thought about this declaration, I reflected on the last 8 months of my life, and my mind got blown.   During the last 8 months, as I lived at home, I wasn’t always on my “A game” spiritually.  I struggled with apathy.  I went after other things for my comfort.  I wasn’t consistently faithful to God.  And yet never once did He leave me on my own, and that “forever” of His steadfast love included those 8 months.
Here’s where it gets even better.  You know that part where Jesus died for our sins?  He did that for me while knowing that these 8 months were going to occur.  He chose to show His love in the ultimate way, taking on the wrath of God, knowing that you and I were going to be unfaithful again and again.  God is so good!  His love is so great!  And there’s absolutely nothing we can do that can separate us from His love.   Think about the times He’s been faithful to you and share it with others.  He deserves that glory.
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39
P.S.  Please continue to be praying for me during my time here at Adventures in Missions in Gainesville, GA.  We found out our work assignment today (blog update coming soon) as well as started classes today (blog update coming soon).  Pray that God will use me at AIM and in the community to bring Him glory.  Pray also that he will continue to teach me about His love, His goodness, and His plan for my life.
P.S. again.  Please also continue to consider supporting me financially.  I still need about $1700 to be fully funded per AIM’s requirements.  If you would like to support me in this way, please donate online by clicking the “support me” link.  I also still need an additional $300 per month for my student loans and other personal needs.  If you would like to support me in this way, please make a check payable to Robby Smith and mail it to Robby Smith 306 Saltlick Trace Peachtree City, GA 30269.
