So obviously, we meet a lot of people and have a lot of different experiences each week that we are in a place. Unfortunately, sometimes some of the stories just don’t fit neatly into a blog. Therefore, I’ve decided that I’m going to have a weekly prayer blog. In the blog, I will list the people/events you can be praying for, a quick summary of their story, and how you can pray for them. Because we’re three weeks into our Guachapita ministry, and I didn’t do this for the first two weeks, I’m going to include all three weeks in this one.
Frances: You can read about Frances here. Pray for emotional healing for him. Also, pray that God will provide a mentor for him who can walk beside him and encourage him to follow God.
Jose: You can read about Jose here. Pray that God will continue to raise him up as a man of God and a future leader of Guchapita. Jose has a great heart, and I truly believe that God can use him for the future of Guachapita.
Canal building: Half of our team has been working on building and digging a canal over the last couple weeks. It will be used to help control the water flow and flooding problems that Guachapita has. Pray that people of the community will begin to see the need to help with this project. I think it can be a great cause for people to rally around and unite through.
Dulce: You can read about Dulce here. Pray for her health. She has heart problems. Also, pray that God will continue to use her to serve the community in the way that she does. Also, pray that God will bless her servant’s heart and continue to provide for her needs.
Jocelyn: You can read about Jocelyn here. Pray for provision, pray for comfort, and pray that she and her family may experience the hope and love of Christ through these hard times.
Willy: Willy is a 23 or so year old Christian man who recently lost his 2-month old daughter. Pray for continued comfort for Willy.
Miguel and Kristin: Miguel and Kristin are our ministry contacts. They have a blog that you can read here. Pray that God will continue to provide guidance for and bless their ministry.
Ricardo (founding father): You can read about Ricardo here. Pray that God will continue to increase his faith. Pray that God will continue to use Ricardo’s heart for Christ and the community to change Guachapita. Also, pray for the younger generation of Guachapita, that they will come to know Christ and rise up as future leaders.
Ricardo (wheel-chair): You can read about Ricardo here. Pray that God will heal him.
Daisy: Daisy is a woman in Guachapita who has five kids. She is not a Christian and finds a lot of her contentment staying in and working in her home. Pray that God will reveal Himself to her and change her heart.
Patsito: Patsito is an interesting older man that we met. Basically, he said he thought that he was an angel and had never sinned. He also talked about how he does find some of his strength in God but also finds his strength in himself. Pray that God will continue to reveal Himself to Patsito. Pray that his heart will be softened and humbled.
