Hey everyone!

So right now, I’m sitting at the Ft. Lauderdale airport with a few of my teammates.  Been at the airport since about 7 PM and gonna be here till about 7 AM tomorrow morning.  Yep, it’s gonna be a long night at the airport.  But I guess I should get used to it.  Cuz that’s how the World Race rolls.
I still sometimes have trouble believing that I’m actually doing this.  I’m actually gonna be going to 11 different countries in 11 months.  I was lying in bed the other night and was thinking that this is one of those things that I would look at and think “oh that would be pretty cool to do” but would never actually do it.  But i’m actually doing the World Race.  Crazy!  I know God is going to work in amazing ways, and I’m so excited (but also scared) to start the adventure in the Dominican Republic tomorrow.  (Oh by the way, I think that the plan has changed and I am now spending July in the Dominican Republic and spending August in Haiti instead of vice versa).
So one quick story from my flight from Atlanta to Ft. Lauderdale earlier this evening.  So I’m wearing my World Race t-shirt, and as we’re landing in Ft. Lauderdale, a guy in his early 20s who was sitting behind me tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if I was doing the World Race.  I told him yes, we (Blake, who was sitting next to me, and I) were on our way to the Dominican Republic to begin the World Race.  So this guy said that he had a couple friends who were thinking about doing it, and also knew a guy who was involved with it.  Blake, this guy (I don’t remember his name), and I ended up talking about it for about 15 or so minutes, and we told him about our blogs.  It was really awesome to see God arrange that entire conversation.  So cool to know that I’m gonna be experiencing stuff like that (but on a so much bigger level) for the next 11 months.
Alright, well that’s it for now.  I’ll probably next be blogging from the Dominican Republic (depending on internet access).  By the way, this blog is gonna be my main form of communication over the next 11 months.  If you haven’t already, be sure to sign up for email alerts to get notifications whenever I update my
blog.  I will also have skype (redandblackworldracer) so you can add me on there if you want.
P.S.  Please continue to be praying for my team and I as we begin our adventures.  Pray for spiritual and physical protection for my squad and me.  Pray for our ministry and the people that we will be meeting and working with in the different countries.  Also, I am still about $1700 short of being fully funded.  If you feel God calling you to financially support me, please contact me to find out how you can help.
