Where do I even begin with explaining the transformation that I have gone through?
I have never been a guy who has his A, B, and C in order to explain my thoughts, so I will begin with the story of snow and travel backwards in time. I will tell you each time where and what part of the year I was at. Enjoy the blogs and enjoy the pictures!
Where: Home- Lumberton, Texas
When: December 10, 2008— 2 days after I arrived home.
A couple of months ago our team leader, Rusty Jackson, spoke to us about signs and wonders of the Lord following us as we stepped back into American soil. I honestly had no clue on how or what to pray in this area of my life, so I just would pray for exactly that. I am learning more and more to be open with the spirit of God and trust Him. Well- I believe it has started and I am excited to see more of his signs and wonders take place.
On the plane from Egypt, I couldn’t even take a nap- the plane was uncomfortable and the thought of coming home was overwhelming. I couldn’t believe that it was actually here after 11 months of leaving home. The 13 hours, I thought, thought, and thought again. Where the Lord would lead me, what would I be called to do for Him, how would I be after experiencing so much this year, etc. The past couple of weeks before the trip home, I started asking the Lord for cold air and snow at home…to me it was a far fetched prayer request- but why not? He is an amazing Father and hears me always. So, I prayed once again on the plane for the wonder of snow at my house. I live on the Gulf of Mexico and rarely does it get cold in December…we have to wait till late January or February to even see cold weather.
As I got off the plane in New York, it was 19 degrees and being in heat for the last 11 months truly was a shock to my body. My lungs were automatically freezing, my face cold, my fingers and toes numb already- but did I ever smile. I was pumped, hoping that home would at least be cool.
After my 25th flight of the year, I had arrived in Houston and I was tired of flying. Flying was just something in the past and was starting to wear me out more and more. I knew that seeing my family would be amazing since it had been 6 months since my brother’s accident, 2 hurricanes and well, the hassles of everyday life.

Eventually around 1:30 am we all went to sleep, at 4:30 I woke and was ready to go, obviously still adjusting to this new environment and time. Shiloh, my pup, was ready also to go outside and “do her business.” As I opened the door, I like to have passed out of what I saw- it was incredible. Ten inches of snow lay on the ground, still snowing and pure silence. The news had said, “It had been since 1973 since anything like this had happened in Southeast Texas,” and I believe it. I just praised the Lord, woke up my family and told them to come outside and look at this site. They had no clue what they were going to see. To be with my family- after a year of intense transformation for all of us, my brother was being able to stand next to me, my parents laughing and smiling like children again- was the most amazing blessing that I could have ever asked for, for a returning home gift.

I just fell in love with the Lord more at that moment- now it doesn’t take much to make me happy and smile, but to just know the Lord hears us, that He loves us so much, that He is a GOOD and FAITHFUL Father, is majestic. I seriously was blessed and had an amazing time in the snow with my family…
Again, more blogs are coming to you through email :>). Rejoice in the Lord today NO MATTER WHAT! He deserves all the praise. Hope you enjoyed the pictures as well!

Striving to be more like Him,
