Hey all!  I know I haven’t posted anything here for a while so I’ll give you a quick update as to what I’ve been up to lately.  As of December 13th I finished up my job as an accountant at Hull & Associates and have spent the past 3 weeks getting all my affairs in order, packing my backpack for 11 months, spending the holidays with family and friends, and saying many hard goodbyes.  Let me tell you, those 3 weeks flew by!

Since Sunday, I have been in Atlanta at World Race launch for a few more days of training before we leave.  My wonderful parents were able to drive me down here and stay in the neighboring hotel for a few days to attend the parent information sessions.  I said goodbye to them yesterday and now that the last goodbye is said I feel like I am ready to get this show on the road!

So now, what’s next on the agenda…we fly to Honduras today!  Actually, as I write this it is 3:30 am and we are sitting in the airport terminal waiting to check in.  When we get to Honduras this afternoon, my team along with 3 other teams will be working with a ministry called Heart of Christ.  While there we will be involved with various different ministries including construction, child care, and community outreach.

I would appreciate prayers for travel safety as well as for my team as we begin ministry this first month.  I’m so excited to start this journey.  It comes with a lot of unknowns and apprehensions, but I know that if God called me to this, He will take care of me and see me through.

Thank you all again for your support!  You should be hearing from me again soon with an update regarding our ministry in Honduras!
