Family and friends,

I hope that everyone is having a fantastic summer!  I want to take a moment of your time and tell you about what God has been doing in my life lately.  Missions has always been in the back of my mind as something I should do and want to do.  Lately, through circumstances, different people speaking into my life, and a lot of prayer, I feel like God has been telling me to get out of my comfort zone and GO!  So I am going!

Beginning January 2014, I will be traveling to 11 countries in 11 months on a missions trip known as the World Race.  The Race is run through Adventures in Missions, an interdenominational Christian missions organization.  On the World Race, my team and I will be partnering with local churches and ministries to share the Gospel, work in orphanages, assist in community development, minister to women and children who have become the victims of human trafficking, and give of ourselves in other ways in order to share the love of Christ with those around the world.  The countries I will be ministering in are Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, China, Thailand, Cambodia, India, and Nepal.

I will also be attending the World Race Training Camp from October 12-19, which will be a week of intense preparation for my trip.  Life on the Race will be a lot different from what I am used to here at home.  I will be packing up everything that I need for the 11 months into a 50 pound backpack, including a tent and sleeping pad which will be my “home”.

As I prepare for this trip, I ask that each of you would prayerfully consider supporting me with your prayers and finances.  I must raise $15,500 to go on the World Race.  This includes all of my expenses while in the field including meals, lodging, travel, interpreters, etc.  It does not include my gear or personal money for the trip which I plan on funding with my personal resources.  Financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation.

I have enclosed a response card and pre-addressed envelope, inviting you to partner with me in this ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions, write my name in the memo line, and return the response card with your donation to Adventures In Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA, 30353-4470. The response card will provide AIM with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your donation. If you would prefer to make your donation online, you may do so by clicking  the “Support Me” link in the upper left side of the page and completing your donation as instructed.

I am excited to see how God will work through me to impact the world for Him in the coming year!  I also fully expect this to be a life changing experience for myself.  I want to thank you in advance for your support and hope that you will prayerfully consider partnering with me.

God Bless,

Rita
