We were asked to write a blog about how we felt before leaving on this mission trip. So, here is what I’m expecting…
Here is a list of some of my expectations but not in any particular order…
I Expect…
– To hear from God more than ever before.
– To be broken for His people like He is.
– To meet some amazing new friends.
– To see this world with a new perspective.
– To learn to live in community with others.
– To miss everyone I love back home.
– To learn more about myself and others.
– To be humbled.
– To have tons O’ fun.
– To strengthen my passion for Christ even further.
– To love even harder than before.
– To experience all new cultures and learn about their people.
– To surrender myself to Him more and more each day.
– To eat all different kinds of food.
– To laugh, cry, scream, get frustrated, etc.
– To see things I never thought possible.
– To see where my life is going after the race and hear Him tell me where He wants me.
– To learn that none of the expectations could ever amount to the real thing and how amazing it is really going to be!!
I have tons of excitement for this journey I am about to experience and cannot wait to let God do all of these things and more in me. I cannot wait to fulfill this calling upon my life and I am extremely thankful for every part of it. I am already amazed by His amazing love and cannot imagine how I will feel coming home. 🙂
