With the Christmas season upon us I am reflecting upon the story of the baby Jesus. I have heard this story many times throughout my life and would not be able to count how many times I have heard it, even if I tried. I feel that this time of year it is easy gloss over the story because we have heard it so many times.
This got me to thinking…. How many people in the world have never heard this story? How many people celebrate a secular Christmas and never know the true meaning of Christmas? How many people around the world are there that don’t have access to the gospel?
Truth is, there are people all over the world that have never heard this story that we so often have heard ourselves. Also, there are many who have heard these stories but have forgotten and/or don’t believe in the importance of the meaning of the story. These people may be your neighbors, co-workers, friends, and even relatives.
I challenge you, as I do myself, to not let this story go unheard. Share it with those people near to you that don’t believe. Share it with a neighbor or even a stranger that you just meet. Invite people to Christmas Eve service with you. Think of the difference that this story could make in their lives and how sharing it could help impact yours.
Oh how pleased our Father would be to have us share the story of His only Son who came and lived among us so that we may have salvation.
God Bless you all and Merry Christmas!!!
