After 4 weeks that truly felt like a year….I have finally had my cast removed!  I went to the American Medical Clinic here in Kiev Ukraine where I met a Peruvian doctor who I enjoyed speaking spanish with.  Then I met 2 amazing women who helped me practice russian.  I then got to ride in this really cool x-ray machine.  Yes, I said ride in it.  I totally think we should get one of these in the states…I stood on this platform thing and held on to the side as it flipped me upside down and then back again making a bed.  They took an x-ray of my foot and then spun me around again and back on the ground…it was awesome!  Then off we went to have my cast sawed and stripped off of my foot/leg.  Dr. Roberto told me to not do this again or they would send me back to Romania to have it removed!  The nurse/med school resident did most of the work and then asked me if she could keep the heel!  It was too funny!  I told her she could have any part of the cast that she wanted, I certainly did not want to carry that thing around with me anymore!  Then they gave me chocolates with yummy nuts in them!  Over all, I’d say it was a pretty good day!  Praise God for amazing parents who have  taken care of the bills!

I had never broken a bone until this year and I pray that never happens again!  I know that God did amazing things and has taught me so much through it all, I just really don’t want to go through that again!
