God has brought me, yet again,
to a place I greatly call home. The Lord
has brought me to Mutare, Zimbabwe to live with a family that
is more than what we would consider a family. There is Winnet the mom, Cheryl, the eldest daughter, Clair, the middle
daughter, and Kennedy, the youngest and the son. Their father is in the states where he works
as a nurse in New York. But the family extends beyond that. Next are the numerous teenage boys who spend
almost every day at the house and eat dinner with us. Then there is Pastor Brian who we are doing
ministry with. He is here almost every
day and spends most of his evenings with us as well; occasionally his family
comes by too. Then there are the guys
who have also partnered with this ministry. Total there are probably about 20 of us together every day. Talk about family! Not just any family, but my family in Zimbabwe. Wow…I have a family in Zimbabwe. Each
person has a different story, a different testimony, and a very different life;
but they all come together because of the vision God has put in their hearts to
“Heal Africa”

Heal Africa
is a mobile medical clinic. It offers
basic medical care, emotional counseling, and spiritual healing. Medications have been donated by different
organizations as well as medical supplies. The office is run out of a room in Winnet’s house. That is also where the medical supplies and
drugs are stored. There are 2 nurses
currently who are volunteering their time 2 days a weeks to spend at the mobile
clinics. Winnet uses her house for
storage and meeting, she uses her small car for ALL of the transportation and
she uses her fuel. Patients are seen
from around 9:00 am until it is too dark to be able to provide the care that is
needed. There are easily over a hundred
people seen at the clinics.

We have also been working with
Pastor Brian at a feeding center. Children, mostly orphans, along with their caretakers, are fed and
taught about hygiene and nutrition. They
are currently providing food and awareness to 50 – 100 people.

Pastor Brian and Winnet also
work with the displaced families in their area. The families lost their homes when the government did a clean up. The clean up was intended to be a good thing,
to prevent the spread of diseases and such, but when the government did the
clean up and tore down homes and destroyed everything; it no longer was seen as
good. The government did not have an
alternative or place for the people to go. The people in this area all live in a warehouse type building with only
a sheet separating “rooms”. There are
over 52 families who currently live there.

I pray that you will search
your hearts and see if the Lord is calling you to support this ministry. It is incredible to see what God is doing,
but there is so much we can do to help!  For more information to give to this cause you can contact them at [email protected]
