Well after several days of waiting in South Africa, the Lord has finally given us the “go ahead” for our ministry sights. Our squad will be in several locations. My team, which now consists of 8 members instead of 7, is heading to Zimbabwe for the month. We will be working in or near Matarie. We will be working with families who have been displaced by the government. We will be praying with them and over them. We will be helping them to learn skills such as chicken farming to be able to provide for themselves.
I am super excited to see God move! This is definetely not what we were expecting to be doing or expecting for God to do, but again that just shows to not have expectations other than that God is in control! Originally we were told we were going to Mozambique and would be working with Iris Ministries. This made me very excited, since that was a dream I had. But again, God decided He had something better for us and now we’re headed away from our team, just the 8 of us, to Zimbabwe.
Our plan is to be living out of our tents…woohoo! I don’t have too many details but I did want to let people know where we are going and why you may not hear from me for a while! I really do not think there is going to be internet access out in our tents, so posting blogs and emails is probably out of the question. Please just keep us all in your prayers! I will be in touch as soon as I can! I love you all and miss you all! Can you believe…it’s month 6??!!!
