Hey!

I want to give you a quick update on my fundraising status and developments with my upcoming job at Adventures. Nothing too lengthy, just the brass tacks. Let’s go.

Fundraising is going well, and I’m so grateful for everyone who has given and for everyone who has expressed interest or shared encouragement. Fundraising is rarely easy or appealing, but I know what the Lord has called me to and I’m so encouraging by y’all who have listened to his voice and have given towards this work at Adventures.

75% of the support that I need to raise for Adventures has been committed! Only $300 a month needs to be committed. Are you someone who can help me close that $300 gap? It’s an important gap for me, because I need it to be closed before I can start building long term bases and developing disaster relief capabilities. I hope to start on August 1, but the funds need to be in. Can you partner with me in this?

Some tidbits about the job:

1. We had a really good brainstorming session about developing disaster relief. It is a complex and dynamic field. But the possibilities for ministry are so exciting! Responding to disasters and crises both domestically and internationally takes planning, vision, and prayer. It’s exciting to brainstorm all of the different ways we could minister to so many different people. It’s going to be great!

2. This will be humbling. If you don’t want to know how much you don’t know, then don’t start something new. The Lord has to come through on this one.

3. Long term bases are really cool. We will look for places, people, ministries, and businesses highlighted by the Lord, and then we will bring them all together to create a long-term, sustainable, impactful base. I will be learning a lot about business plans and business development, as well as team dynamics, networking, and coordination.

I’m very excited about both positions at Adventures. It’s going to be wild, I have never done anything like this before. It’ll make me more dependent on the Lord, it will make me know him more. And that’s I can ever ask about anything.

I would be very grateful if you would partner with Adventures before August 1 and help get this work started sooner rather than later. There is no reason to wait.
