I am currently in the country, Cambodia. My team is working in the city of Phnom
Penh. The people in this country are some of the nicest people I have ever
met. They are beautiful, friendly,
helpful, and genuine.

            We
are working with an organization who is here to share the love of Christ. But they are also here to raise up
leaders from Cambodia who can then lead their own people into relationship with
Christ, a life of character and integrity, and develop the future leaders of
this country.  They have a big
picture perspective but also focus on the intricate details. The ministry as a whole has lots of
different branches, departments, or areas of focus.

            Our
team is working in two different areas this month. Jordan and I work in an area
of the ministry that brings in girls who have had not the greatest pasts and
provides them with a new job of making purses to then sell. But it is about more than just a job;
it is providing them with an environment to heal, to know the Lord, and to have
community while growing. It is a
holistic approach to bringing a person into freedom. The women we work with are truly amazing. It has been so much fun getting to know
them, working alongside them, and just enjoying life together. For the first time, I actually feel
connected to these people. And I
think it will be sad for me to leave. Plus the purses they make are beautiful.   There are tons of different styles, colors, and
patterns. I love being in an
environment of creativity, business, and organization. We have also gotten to be involved with
their morning devotionals and have had the opportunity to teach them
English. We always have a blast
with this part. It is honestly
probably one of my favorite things I have gotten to do this entire trip. It is truly an honor to get to know
these beautiful and talented women of God.

            The
rest of our team goes out to the provinces or village everyday. They do
different things such as home to home visits for prayer, to just check-in,
encourage fellow Christians and to spread the love of God. They are involved in helping to teach
English. Some help tutor in homes
and they also have larger English classes each day at the main center in the
province. Our team has also had
the opportunity to use their musical talents through helping lead worship and
also teaching music lessons. There
is a huge kids program on Saturdays that the team has been involved with and
there is also a youth group we have had different opportunities with. And there is also the huge opportunity
of just building relationships with all the people we come into contact
with. WE have gotten to be a part
of their staff meetings and worship/prayer meetings during the week. It has provided amazing opportunities
to get to know the staff that we are working under.    My teammates who are working with this part of
the ministry are absolutely loving it.

            Everyone
seems to be finding their niches that they enjoying working in. It has been fun to see everyone using
their different gifts and talents this month.
