We
left La Cama on Wednesday. We have
the amazing blessing of staying with Pastor Carlos and Heidi Fernandez’s
beautiful home and place of ministry called My Father’s House. They host and coordinate short term
mission teams all throughout Guatemala. We have wonderful meals being prepared
for us, we all have our own beds with real covers, hot showers and even a real
toilet! The simple things are so
grand these days. I love it.
We
are staying here for two nights. It is so refreshing to just have time to debrief, process through our
thoughts, and rest up before moving onto our next month. I must say that I have tons of things
running through my brain and it has been nice to just sit and relax and unwind
my body and my brain. We will
leave Friday around lunch to meet back up with the rest of the squad in
Guatemala City for one night. We
will then head out early Saturday on a three-day journey to Costa Rica.
