So, 2 weeks from tomorrow I will be 30…
Ick. The thought of it really makes me sick at times. But, So much has happened
in the last 10 years that I am truly blessed. They say time flies when you are
having fun, and I guess that is true. In
the last decade of my life I have accomplished some big things, but I also know
that there are GREAT things to come in this next decade of my life. I want to
focus on some key things from this last decade that I am grateful for.
o
I have been to almost 30
countries with 4 different groups.
o
I graduated from college
o
I have made many friends
around the world that I can call family
o
I am the whitest person to
ever sing with an African choir.
o
Went on a cruise and then
did ministry on the island
o
Moved to West Virginia,
Ohio (for a summer), Georgia, and then back to Iowa
o
I fell in love… with TONS
of kids around the world
o
I made it through 2 risky
eye surgeries, 1 week apart
o
I became certified as a
Pharmacy Tech
o
Learned what real community
is like
o
Understood what a real
relationship with God is like
o
Gained Spiritual Parents
o
Discovered real healing
o
Mastered the Squatty 😉
o
The list can really go on
and on…
People may look at my life and think that I haven’t accomplished much;
there are times when I think the same thing. But, tomorrow is a new day, filled with new
memories and new milestones. I am
excited for the next 10 years. God has something BIG planned, just wait and
see.
