I realize this is a long overdue blog, and I apologize for this. Thank you for continuing to pray for me even though you have no idea what has been going on! Well here is an update!
We had an amazing month in China. Ben and I had the opportunity to stay with 2 teams for the entire month in one spot! We worked with children with disabilities and I loved every moment of it.
The month was full of joy, laughter, smiles, outings, teaching, playing and just loving on each individual child.
The Lord has brought me through a season of thankfulness this month. I wrote a blog before the race about a book called One Thousand Gifts. If you haven't read it, I recommend it, but it is about being thankful. That book came back to my mind and heart this month.
Being around children who can't do everything I do physically causes me to stop and think about all of the times I complain. The Lord has blessed me so much and it took me coming to China and working with these children, who have so much joy to realize that. They are seriously the most amazing kids. They are so independent despite their disabilities and they always have a smile on their face.
We left Beijing on the 29th and arrived safely to our LAST country, the Philippians. Crazy right?
The guys and I will leave with 3 teams to Mindadano tomorrow and will head back to Manilla to finish the rest of the month with the other 2 teams.
Please be praying for our squad as a whole.
Pray that we would finish the race well.
Pray that the Spirit would give us a new strength this last month and open our eyes to see where he needs us the most.
Pray that we would continue to work through things with each other and not give up because it is almost over.
Pray that we would make the most of every opportunity and be present.
Please start praying for the reentry process. I have heard each person reacts differently..so I am not really sure how it will affect me. I know that the Lord has me and He has given me peace even though I have no idea what I am going to do when I get home:)
