Being away from home is not the easiest thing on a special day like your birthday, but the Lord blessed me is so many ways on July 8th, my 24th birthday and I would like to share the blessings with you.
My teammate and squadmates died to themselves by sacrificing the time that could have been spent in bed by running through the wind and rain with me. Blessed.

Pastor Daniel and the body of believers welcomed us into their worship gathering and the Spirit spoke through him as he gave a sermon on fighting a good fight. Blessed.
The church invited all 23 of us to a lunch after worship. It then turned into my birthday lunch where the host thanked me for inviting him to my birthday celebration. Blessed.
My teammates and squad mates surprised me with an amazing cake and a birthday "card". Blessed.

We moved into Pastor Daniel's house for the week where there is wifi and I had the blessing of skyping with my parents, texting my best friends and getting to wish my twin brother a happy birthday as well. Blessed.
It was a wonderful day and I truly felt loved and blessed.
