Where do I begin? I guess I will just start with the basics of what I have been doing for the past month!
Where was I?: Guija, Mozambique, AFRICA
What have I been doing? Filling buckets of water. Walking from hut to hut. Praying. Being led by the Spirit. Living in community. Studying the Word of God. Hearing God's voice. Resting. Cooking. Washing Dishes. Running. Picking lice. Having my heart broken for God's people. Wrestling with why these children don't have food. Laughing with my teammates. Knowing I am right where God wants me. Trusting He will guide me. Creating a music video that encompasses our lives that revolved around lice. Loving on children. Reading. Having hard discussions about living in abundance, pride and selfishness.
What can you still pray for?
-Pray the Lord would heal these people
-Pray for my team and protection against the enemy
-Pray for our contact Tienie as he goes from person to person praying and bringing medication they need. Pray that he would continue going strong and not get too emotionally, physically or spiritually drained.
-Pray that education about HIV/Aids would come to this country and that people would get tested so that they can receive treatment earlier rather than later
-Pray against witchcraft and the lies that people believe here
-Pray for the children here to have hope and know the love of Christ
We are currenly in Maputo and heading to Swaziland on Wednesday. Please pray for safe travel. It is supposed to only take 3 1/2 hours, which will our shortest travel day yet! Woo hoo!
