So, I’m not usually this in-your-face about support, but I have an urgent need. (And it’s pressing on my heart so much that, even though it’s 12:15 in the morning, I can’t fall asleep until I write about it, even though most of you won’t read this until much later today).
Here’s the deal: I need $3000 in my support account before I can start my pre-India training/internship at Adventures in Missions on October 3. Of that $3000, $1000 goes directly to AIM for program costs/overhead for running the project, and the other $2000 goes toward my salary for the six months I’m there (I’ve been asked to raise $10,000 total for the six months that I’ll be in Georgia – that’s covering all my food/housing/gas/electricity/personal expenses during the internship). Here’s the thing: October 3 is just under 5 weeks away. And five weeks divided by $3000 is about $600 a week that I need coming in. So, would you help me get to Georgia? Would you help my support account fill to overflowing in the next few weeks so that I don’t have to worry about being able to start the internship, and therefore don’t have to worry about being able to go to India?  It would mean a lot to me to have you all partner in ministry like this with me!
side note: I will also be raising support while in India…but don’t know what that budget is going to look like yet. That will most likely get figured out toward the beginning of our time in Georgia, and I will update later with those needs.
*I don’t want you all to think that this internship/mission trip/move across the globe is all about money, but that may be what it seems since that’s what two of the last three blogs I’ve written are about. I’d much rather focus on amazing stories like how God is bringing freedom and light and truth into the hearts of people, or how He’s healing broken bodies and broken relationships, or even how He uses Dr Seuss and M&M’s to get people to go overseas (did you read that one yet? It’s pretty good, if I may say so myself). I promise I’m working on fun blogs like that,, and hopefully those stories will come much more than the ones where I am begging for money, but this is also incredibly important and without your support I won’t be able to witness, much less write about, the other incredible things God is doing. So thanks for giving. Thanks for praying. Thanks for helping expose people to a living and active God.
