I knew going into the race that there was the possibility of team changes, actually a very likely possibility after month three of the race. It’s usually at the end of month three that people take on different leadership positions currently held by past world racers. As people step up into new leadership positions, some teams are changed to help even out the spaces left behind. I know the team changes are covered in prayer and I have no doubt that the new teams are exactly where the Lord wants us.

My team, team Arrow, was one of the teams that got changed. Mary is still my incredible team leader and I am still with Tracy, however we are now on an all girls team! Our new team consists of Mary, Tracy, Myself, Angela Bringham, Addie Weaver, and Cara Parker. The other members of team Arrow are now split up on two other teams. Lindsay is now a team leader! I am SO excited to see the Lord work through her as she leads her new team! She is still on a team with Dex and Ashley, however Phil is on another team. I am extremely excited to be on a team of all women and I know that God is going to do AMAZING things through our unique team, however I will miss team Arrow SO much!

Team Arrow taught me so much and we have shared some amazing experiences, so it was quite hard for all of us when we first heard about team changes. The Lord used each and every member of team Arrow to challenge me and teach me incredible truths. I will never forget the amazing three months the Lord blessed me with, living in community with my brothers and sisters in Christ. To Mary, Tracy, Dex, Phil, Lindsay, and Ashley-words can’t express the joy and happiness you allowed me to experience over the past couple of months. Thank you for allowing the Lord to use you to speak truth into my life and challenge me to walk confidently as the woman the Lord has called me to be. I will miss the community we had together but I know that God is going to do crazy awesome things through each of our new teams.

Right after finding out about our team changes, we were encouraged to spend two hours of quiet time with the Lord. We were also encouraged to grieve the loss of our old teams, as we began to pray about our new teams. I had a good cry during my time with the Lord, but He gave me such peace about my new team. Team Arrow was incredible, so I can only imagine what the Lord has in store for our new team. There is something special about an all girls team, and I am really excited to live in community with such strong and passionate women of the Lord. Just after one day with my new team, I already know that God has big things in store for us.

As a team we decided to name ourselves W.O.W., which stands for a number of different things depending on the day (It could stand for Women of the Word, Women of Worship, Women of Wit, Women of Wonder, etc.) Team W.O.W. will be spending our first month together doing a variety of children ministries in Manila, Philippines. One of which is an eight our shift in the nursery at the children’s home we will be working with, which I am SO excited about. Anyone that knows me, knows how much I LOVE babies! During my time with the Lord the past couple of months, I kept hearing Him tell me to wait on kids. He knows my passion for nurturing and loving on babies and children because He is the one that put it there. He just had some stuff to work out in me before I could even begin to pour out His love to his precious children. I can’t even begin to put my joy and excitement about our next month of ministry into words! I can’t wait to love and nurture the Lord’s precious children!

Once again thank you for making this journey possible! Thank you for being obedient to the Lord’s call to support me as I have the privilege of being the Lord’s hands and feet around the world! Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement that get me through each day! I feel SO humbled that the Lord has called me on this journey to see the injustices around the world. I know that to whom much is given much is expected, and I can’t wait to see what this looks like in the future.
