In just a few more days, our first country of the race will be a memory.  It’s been a good month- hard, at times, but good.  By God’s grace, I’ve never once doubted the decision to follow his call around the world; although, there certainly have been moments when I’ve wondered why he’s called me.  I mean, what does God have to tell me here that he couldn’t tell me at home, surrounded by my family, my friends, my fiancé?  (Or, for that matter, my clean clothes, my hot showers, my privacy…)

I don’t have that answer right now.  But it’s coming.  I can feel it.

Our past week as a team has been pretty amazing.  I’ll let you check out Sisterhood’s blogs as they come out, because I’d rather you hear some of it from them.  I will tell you that our team has been worshipping and praising together in ways that I’ve been longing for and missing from home.  This month has been the beginning of a lot of healing for my team- emotional, spiritual, AND physical.  It’s been a joy to watch, and a blessing knowing that God plans on dumping out more of it.

Almost every morning, the beautiful mountains here have been covered in fog until the warmth of the sun melts it away.  In the same way, I’m realizing how my excitement in being here has been masked by the fog of fear.  This month, God’s powerful, joy-filled light has been melting that away.

Note to the world:  Get ready.

Next month, I will be ministering in a closed country.  I will be safe, but for the continued safety of our contacts, we will not have internet access and I will not be posting any blogs at any point about our time there.  Next time I post, it will most likely be from South Africa in November!  Please be praying, I am expecting BIG, HUGE, AMAZING THINGS from God and I will gladly tell you about them (privately!) once we’re out.  Thank you for your support!!!
