Going to Training Camp is probably a little bit like joining the CIA, in the sense that, if I told you about it, we’d both be in serious trouble.

I’m Joking.  Sort of.

I would love, LOVE, love to give you day by day details of Training Camp, but, the truth is, I can’t.  If there are any future racers reading this blog, the integrity of their experiences would be compromised by me sharing too much here.  So, if you aren’t a future racer, I’ll tell you all about it.  In person.  Not here.

Of course, there are a few things I can say.  Each day, as I was exposed more and more to the AIM (Adventures in Missions, the WR’s parent organization) way of ministry, I got more excited.  Training Camp focused a lot on our relationship with God and our relationships with each other. It’s our personal stories, our unity in Christ, and our confidence that the Holy Spirit is actively working in and through us that will transform the world.  You can’t argue someone into the kingdom of God.  You love them.

One of the best parts about Training Camp was getting to know my squad and my team.  I am on the Z Squad (the 26th WR squad!) and loved getting to know all 44 or so of them.  (You really get to bond with people squeezing under a tarp in the pouring rain at 2 a.m.)  We will be traveling from country to country together.  The Z Squad is split into 7 teams, and I am on Team Sisterhood.  We are one of two all-girl squads on my team, and I’m excited about doing life with them around the world as we live and minister together.

Considering that I may not get to update the blog as much as I want when I’m out on the field, if you are one of my supporters, you may want to sign up for blog updates from each member of my team as well.  Just like you can do on my blog, look to the left on their page and submit your email address under “Subscribe for Blog Updates.”  Because we will be living and ministering together, you’ll be able to get a more complete idea of what’s going on with Team Sisterhood!
