Laura Frankenfeld is one of the 2006 World Racers who has sacrificed her time to come to south Mexico and train those of us who are heading out on the 2007 Race.
She is a beautiful young woman of God and has allowed the Lord to use her in so many ways.
Laura and I had some communication while she was out on the field and she always had wise nuggets of information for me.
She probably doesn’t know it, but she helped me pack and pray my way to
Mexico.
Some of our training has involved sharing with others what our heart’s desire is.
Once Laura heard that a big part of my heart is for children from broken families and children with incarcerated parents, she ran to me because her heart beats for similar things.
Laura prayed specifically for a mother’s heart for me and that the Lord would allow me to see these children with His eyes.
The following is an excerpt that she graciously allowed me to copy from her personal journal.
It is a quote from a friend of hers and an excerpt from
Captivating by Staci Eldridge.
“All women are called to mother.
To mother is to nurture, to train, to educate, to rear.
All women are gifted to help others to become more of who they truly are-to mother them toward their true selves.”
It is about seeing who a person really is and calling him out to be that person.
All women are also called to give birth.
We birth life into others by inviting them into deeper realms of healing, to deeper walks with God, to deeper intimacy with Jesus.
When we enter into our world and into the lives of those we love and offer our tender and strong feminine hearts, we cannot help but mother them.”
These wise words have become the prayer of my heart.
I long to love the people I will encounter with a supernatural love that only God can give.
Laura has tasted and seen these things.
She has loved sacrificially (which she also prayed for me, yikes!) and seen the Lord work in amazing ways.
Please keep Laura in your prayers as she is home from the World Race.
She has very exciting things in her future including a wedding in a few months!
Praise the Lord for her servant’s heart and willingness to give so much of her herself.
