Yesterday, December 31, 2014 I left Birmingham at 5pm and completed the first leg of the World Race Fusion! Mom and William and I met family for lunch before going to the airport. Sweet send off from my little nieces.
Seven hours of travel brought me to San Francisco. That will probably be the shortest travel leg of the entire year. For every flight in 2014 I won the TSA lottery and was able to go through the pre-check line. My last flight of the year I was sent through regular security and my bag was searched. I have a suspicious power cord. Haha. Upon arrival in SFO I found part of my team. We chatted until 2am, slept for a few hours, and were joined by the rest of the team this morning.
This is happening y’all!!
We fly out this afternoon to Wuhan, China. There we have a 3-4 hour layover where we have to pick up our checked bags and check into our next flight to Bangkok, Thailand. We will arrive in Bangkok at 1am on January 3rd and promptly board a bus to drive 9 hours to Chiang Mei.
The flight to China is now two hours delayed… This is going to be an adventure!
