Let it rain open the floodgates of heaven! Let it rain!

This is the cry of my heart because rain symbolizes nourishment, growth, renewal, cleansing, provision, life, and even forgiveness that I spoke of in my last blog. I long to be caught in a heavenly downpour not just a measly sprinkle, but instead a monsoon of sorts.

Out of the world distractions are born, and if we are not careful we can become blind to it's entrapments-it's snares to not only hurt us, but to kill us. It is imperative that we see its deceitfulness and run.  Do you remember that show when we were kids with Wille E coyote and the roadrunner? Imagine, you are the roadrunner, and the world we live in is the coyote. You must never let the coyote latch it's sharp claws around you. He never means good even when it seems that he has changed.

The rainstorm that I dream to be caught in is the antidote to the distractions of this world. Let's just say the coyote hates to get wet.

 (A rainy day)
If you are like me you are easily distracted. However, I encourage you not to wait until you have been in the drought for a while to water your flowers. Water is a daily need. Think about all the things that you do in a day’s time. Now think about how much of that time spent was spent well or even necessary.

Take time out to sit and praise God for the rain/water. Praise Him for being God, because He doesn't need a reason to be praised (there are to many reasons to count if you must have one though). Our time with Him must be a priority. I believe it is time well spent that will never be missed or bring disappointment. It will only bring rain! I am ready to dance and play in the rain. Are you?
