World Race training camp.

How do you put into words what can only be felt in your heart?

I’ve had many people ask, ‘how was it, what was it like?’ There really aren’t words to describe. I’m pretty sure every time I try to respond I say something like ‘it was just amazing, I can’t explain. It was incredible.’ But that’s all I can get out. I’d laugh for a second and repeat again, ‘I just can’t explain, it was so great.’

The aura surrounding training camp and what it is like goes something like this:

Have no expectations.

Be prepared for anything.

Get ready to be wrecked and broken.

Welcome the emotions of what it is like to be 100% filled with the Holy Spirit.

Embrace vulnerability.

Love without reserve.

Let God move you in ways you never thought possible.

This was one of the most exhausting weeks of my life physically, spiritually, and emotionally. We slept in tents and hammocks, we were stretched beyond our comfort zones, we broke the chains of our past.

Many smiles were shared, many tears were shed, many prayers were spoken.

By the end of the week we were worn out. Something inside of us is different now.

Four squads, four routes, two hundred some individuals coming together for a crazy week of preparation for one of the greatest years of our lives. But it is so much more than that. We aren’t defined by our squad, our route, or our team. We aren’t just individuals from different states, backgrounds or cultures. We are brothers and sisters in Christ coming together for one purpose; to be the hands and feet of Jesus, to spread the Good News to the nations, and to serve an incredible God, with whom all things are possible.
