I have always been a person who sits back and lets the world come to them. I've never been one to freely ask for help. Until now I had been the person who deals with everything myself, relying on what I know (or think I know) and trying to fix everything on my own. The thought of raising $15,000 dollars terrified me. 'What do you mean I have to send out letters asking for financial support?!' I seriously considered paying all of it myself to save me from the discomfort I would feel having to reach out to others.

Then one day it hit me.

It's not about the money.
It's not about keeping myself comfortable and stress free.

It's about spreading the message. It's about trusting God that all of my needs will be provided (Philippians 4:6, 13, 19). If I keep everything to myself, pay my own way and my family and close friends are the only ones who know about my trip what good will that do?

Virtually no one will hear about this mission. No one would understand what we are doing. No one would be able to feel and see the power of faith and what comes with loving whole-heartedly the God of all creation. No amount of money could ever compare to learning about our Savior. No earthly possession could ever fulfill the love God has for us.

That would be the greatest loss.

So, with a guilty smile on my face I am asking, with prayerful consideration, if you would consider partnering with me on this mission trip. Whether it is help supporting the mission trip or helping with the purchase of supplies, anything is greatly appreciated!!

It is an honor to have the opportunity to go serve the people of this world, the ones I have never met but have loved my whole life.
