Hi I am Rebecca Klaas!
I was born and raised in a small town named Marshalltown Iowa. I have two older brothers and a twin sister. My twin went to college in Missouri, graduating with a zoology degree. She now works in zoos across the states. My oldest brother works on computers in Denver CO. My other brother is starting his own brewing company also in Denver CO. My dad is a line man.(works on power lines) My mom is a pilates and swim lesson teacher at the YMCA in Marshalltown.
I moved to Nashville TN for college, never looked back. I am now living in Nashville. I graduated this pass December (2016) from Lipscomb University with an education degree. I have been working with kids since I was 14, I started at my hometown YMCA to daycare in IA and TN. Currently I am working at the YMCA in Brentwood TN named Maryland Farms. This summer I will be working at the YMCA camp on Percy Persit lake, and I am very excited for the job!
I found out about World Race from a coworker at Maryland Farms. I applied for the peace corps but did not make it, then my coworker mention to me about the World Race. I then looked up the World Race, applied, now I am here! I want to do the World Race because I love to travel and teach. Its been a dream of mine to travel, teach and give those who need love around the world. During my time at Lipscomb I did many mission trips, to Uganda Africa, Ireland, Scotland 3 times, Wales, Mexico and Peru. I had many loving moments in each country, and now ready to do so during my time with World Race!
