Ok People. So, I knew I was lucky last month with having an indoor bathroom. Now granted it was still a squatty but it was a nice one and there was a sink with running water. Yeah. Its not like that where I am staying in Uganda. Thats right! I have a legit outdoor squatty. But here is my favorite part. We are not allowed outside once it gets dark so if we need to use it at night we get to use a bucket in the shower. I guess they empty it in the morning. I never realized how important a sink is. The first night, we were all trying to figure out where to brush our teeth. Fun stuff. It is definitely turning into an adventure 🙂
Ministry is a lot different as well. So, normally the first day we arrive at our new location is a rest day. Just to give us time to settle into our new location. Well the contact arranged for us to have an orientation which was really us being asked to teach morning and afternoon lessons at a school. I can't tell you how grateful I was for the time I interned at an elementary school in America. I was placed in a small room with 16 fourth/fifth grade students by myself. The teacher left and I think the students had a really hard time understanding what I was saying due to my accent. But it was all good. I taught them about the twenty-four hour clock which I have never used in my entire life 🙂 I also taught or attempted to teach them about conjunctions. Oh, it was a very interesting day. I just learned we will be back all week to teach them. So, till next time.
