Dear Friends and Family,
For the past two years after graduating college, I have been trying to figure out which direction to take my life. I always thought that when college ended, a career began, but God has chosen a different path for me to pursue. As many of you know, I spent the summer of 2014 on a mission trip in Nepal, working with some incredible people and spreading the Gospel to everyone we came into contact with. This trip changed my perspective on life and changed my relationship with God. I learned what it truly means to live for God and how He can use faith to change the world.
After coming home from this trip I understood the importance of becoming a part of a church community. I spent the next two years attending First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville, developing strong relationships within this church, and continuing to pursue my relationship with Christ. I finally feel as if I am connected with God and with a strong Christian community, and through this God has placed a desire on my heart to connect the world with Him as well.
I am excited to share that God has given me the opportunity to go on a mission trip called the World Race, through Adventures in Missions. This is an 11 month trip to 11 countries across the world. Through the world race, my team and I will serve in partnerships with local communities abroad to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution, and bring the restorative hope of God’s love to many nations. The countries I willbe traveling to are India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, and South Africa.
I know that along with this incredible experience will be many challenges. However, as I prepare for this trip, one of my greatest challenges is my financial support. In order to leave in January 2017, I will need to raise $17,017. This money will cover all of my field expenses for the 11 months of the trip. As I take this step of faith, I ask that you prayerfully join me in this journey and consider supporting me financially as well.
