Thinking back on this week, I have much to thank God for.

First, I thank God for the freedoms we gain in prayer. Being a month focussed on prayer, I have been getting much rest. Maybe because the more I pray, the more I become real with God, the more He takes burdens off of me, the more I gain rest. What is that ol’ saying, “Cast your cares upon the Lord and He will give you rest.”? The truth is when I became vulnerable, I became free. Vulnerability gains freedom.

Second, I am thankful for our hostess Bukurija who has been very generous and hospitable with us. This week I got to rejoice with her in two celebrations of life! First, she became an aunt again with the birth of her nephew Lerick. Yay! And later this week, after weeks of Bukurija sharing the Gospel and her testimonies of God’s love and faithfulness to people, Bukurija’s neighbor Daniella has decided to live her life for Christ Jesus. Daniella is a new creation in Christ Jesus, the old has gone and the new has come. Yay! This week two new births happened, one in the kingdom of this earth and one in the kingdom of heaven.
“I assure you: Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).
Third, I thank God for a new experience with walking in authority as a life-giver. Our last night in Ulcinj, we left our “mark” as life-givers and “staked” the land of Ulcinj, reclaiming the land, the people, their devotion and faith, we reclaimed all these things to the LORD. We wrote Scripture on pieces of paper, wrapped them on shishkabob wood skewers, and stuck them deep into the places (land) we walked to (over) around the city. But before we went out staking, we commissioned one another with anointing olive oil (homemade from fresh olives) and with prophetic prayer. What an experience! We were pumped, ready to go out and claim territory for our Majesty! 🙂
“The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof.” (Psalm 24:1)
I am thankful for all that I have been learning and growing. This week I learned something very profound, but valuable to my growth and journey: “My identity is not my status. Identity is what I am born into. Status changes, is competitive, and can be removed. Identity is none of these. Identity is absolute.” I am encouraged that my identity is based on the absolute Truth, Christ Jesus. I am more than a conqueror, which means, I am the inheritor of everything and anything the conqueror conquers. Christ Jesus conquered sin and death. I inherit favor, acceptance, and life. I also inherit every authority that Christ gained in His conquest.
“To live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21).
I am also thankful that I can share my adventures with you. 🙂
See you all next week in Bar, Montenegro.
