My first Vacation Bible School
for this year happened in Joaquin, Texas at Bethlehem Missionary
Baptist Church. My Aunth went with me and blessed VBS with her
teaching and photography skills. I helped out in the Music and Drama
dept. (For those who REALLY know me, you KNOW how I can be a ham!) So I
found my niche. My aunt and I stayed with the VBS Director Tiffany B.
and her three wonderful boys and godly husband Ben.

Everyday at VBS was
filled with many boys and girls ranging from nursery to 5th grade and
countless minutes of fun and laughter. When Tiffany notified me about
the Vacation Bible School back in March, it didn’t dawn on me that it
was going to be a theme about “digging for” God’s truth that took place
in Egypt and Israel until I had participated in it. I was WOWed! This
was so God! A simple reminder to me that He will take care of me. He
KNOWS where I am going on this missions trip. He will take care of me.

On top of all the fun I had at VBS and all the new relationships I was
building with the Bethlehem Family, the LORD who provides, Jehovah
Jireh, used the offering that the children brought to VBS to pay for
the remaining funds I needed for my trip. Unbelievable!

be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will
result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s
people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.
Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will
praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the
gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with
everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to
you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to
God for his indescribable gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:10-15)
