“In the beginning, when God created the universe, the earth was formless and desolate.  The raging ocean that covered everything was engulfed in total darkness, and the Spirit of God was moving over the water.  Then God commanded, ‘Let there be light’ – and light appeared.  God was pleased with what he saw. . .”
(The Story of Creation recorded in the Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verses 1-4)

This is a record of my creation story:

In the beginning of my life, I was formless and desolate.
The raging ocean of messes and failures predestined for my life engulfed me with total darkness.
I was born fallen and flawed, sinful and capable of sinning.
Yet, the Spirit of God was moving over my future, over my destiny.

Then God commanded, “Let there be light” and Light appreared.
Jesus, the source of life, brought Light to me.
His Light shone in the darkness and darkness could not extinguish His Light.
God was pleased with what he saw.

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! ”
(2 Corinthians 5:17, New Living Translation)
